One of the key initiatives that Europe2020 strategy is using to reduce administrative burdens is the mass adoption of E-invoicing.

In order to achieve mass adoption within the EU, the EU called for the standardisation of e-invoices. To address this issue the EU’s Expert Group on E-invoicing have recommended the adoption by all actors within the private and public sector of a common invoice content standard and data model, the UN/CEFACT Cross-Industry Invoice (CII).

CII is currently the only international data model that covers the requirements of different industries and sectors. It provides the required connection between the various supply chain messages and is integrated with financial services requirements. UN/CEFACT products and standards are recognised and accepted globally.

Currently within Europe, there is only one company that is EU validated and compliant with necessary standard. Tradefacilitate’s invoice is:

• ISO 20022 compliant with SWIFT’s recommended financial invoice
